DETAILS OF OPPORTUNITY:

• I’m currently seeking Registered Nurses for Mining sites in Regional Queensland on a casual basis.
• Urgently, I have a shift commencing 4th of June until the end of July.
• Ideally, you will be a RN who can commit on a casual basis for two months and live in a mining town for the duration of the assignment.
• Alternatively, I am seeking two RNs who can job share this role, doing two weeks on and two weeks off each.
• All fights, transfers, accommodation and food is paid for.
• The working hours are 8hrs per day (Monday to Friday). You will be working within a Medical Centre in a mining town and you will be working with one Doctor and another RN.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Conducting a lot of Coal Board Medicals for the local mines (this includes audiometry, blood pressure, eye vision and step test)
• Conducting drug and alcohol testing
• Taking specimens and bloods for QML
• Day to day medical issues for the community
• Acting as Emergency Centre for anyone requiring hospitalisation, while they are waiting to be picked up by QLD Ambulance and taken to hospital.

ABOUT YOU:

Must Have:

• AHPRA registered RN
• Immunisation Certificate
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work autonomously
• Intermediate level computer and database management skills
• Reliable self-starter
• Strong team player with good relationship building skills

Highly Desirable:

• Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (QLD)
• Solid understanding of injury classifications (LTI, MTI, RWC)
• Emergency Department experience or remote experience
• Current Advanced Life Support Certificate
• Drug and Alcohol Testing Certificate
• Current Coal Board Medical
