Responsibilities – Network Field Technician:

• Front line support for troubleshooting of ISP carrier network across the Sunshine Coast and beyond
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of carrier network
• Level 1 and 2 support
• Identifying system failures and bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency
• Inspecting infrastructure and fixing minor and major problems or delegating to contractors where appropriate
• Evaluating network performance and finding ways for improvements
• Performing upgrades and maintenance in live environments
• Providing customers with technical advice, including network usage and comprehensive instructions

About You:

• Competent in the responsibilities of the position listed above
• Passion for technology
• Strong knowledge of network fundamentals (Certificate in CISCO or Mikrotik)
• Good understanding of network troubleshooting and the OSI Model
• Experience with ISP carrier networks (preferable)
• Open Registration Structured Cabling Certificate with Fibre and Structured Cabling endorsements (preferable)
• Excellent communication, diagnostic and documentation skills are essential
• Solid people skills and ability to liaise with customers professionally
• Willingness to follow procedures
• Proven ability to perform independently and as part of a team are critical for success
